Austràlia... flora i fauna!

Las dos cosas tan variadas como curiosas... pero de nuevo, las imágenes hablan por si solas.............

Both really as varied as curious... but again, the pictures speak for themselves.............



En cuanto a flora, curioso el nombre este primer especimen: "grass-tree" = árbol de hierba.... por su gran parecido al césped!!

As per flora, funny is the name of this first example: "grass-tree"!!





Y éstos... ya véis, aquí tooooodo es a lo grande!!!

... regarding these ones, as you can see, everything is big here!!!

La variedad de formas y colores tampoco está mal........

Variety of forms and colours is also quite big..........

Y en cuanto a fauna... sí, ya sé, estáis esperando a los "reyes" del pais: los canguros!! Pero hay muuuuuchos bichejos más........

De agua: gaviotas, cisnes negros, pelícanos... y unos bichejos que se metían en el agua y salían con una gamba en la boca!!!!!

And as per fauna... I know you are waiting for the "king" here: the kangaroo!! But there are many other kind of animals........

Water: seagulls, black swans, pelicans... and some guys which went into the water to appear with a shrimp in the mouth!!!!!

De tierra: los cinco tipejos de cuello largo no sé como se llaman... pero vimos algunos totalmente pelados, esquilados cual ovejas! Se hacen muchas prendas con su lana... alpacas??
Ah! Las vacas... sí,ya sé, son vacas....... pero nos hizo gracia el paisaje que bien podría ser cualquier rincón de Galicia o Espanya!!!

Land: here some alpacas - which wool is well-known here! - and some cows... yes, just cows, but the landscape looked as if we were in Spain!!!


Esta especie de loros "negros" estaban en un paisaje todo quemado (desgraciadamente Australia sufre muchos incendios alentados por el constante fuerte viento!)... pero no sabemos si ese es su color original ó estaban tiznados.........

These kind of parrots where in the middle of a burnt forest... so we do not know whether their black colour was their real one.........

... y estos bichitos - de "sólo" 50 centímetros!! - se cruzaban por la carretera a un paso lento y tranquilo: o los esquivas o te los cargas.... de hecho vimos bastante de aplastados!!


... and these little animals - "just" 50 cms. long!! - crossed calmly the roads.........

... finalmente los canguros!! Realmente no hemos visto tantos como esperábamos, pero si un grupo abundante cerca de viviendas y un par saltando - quién hace ruidos en el video es Jordi para hacerlos mover! - en plena naturaleza!!
Ah! La señal de la foto no es para tomársela en broma... pues por la noche los canguros pasan de un lado a otro de carretera y es peligroso, es más, por las mañanas hemos visto bastantes canguros muertos en mitad de esas carreteras largas e interminables......... Por cierto, un anochecer se nos cruzó uno a tan sólo un par de metros y os aseguro que daba impresión!!!!! Afortunadamente nosotros íbamos con muuuuucha precaución.............

... and finally, the kangaroos!! We did not see as many as we thought we would see, but here there is a nice picture with many of them and a video - where Jordi is making noises to make them jump!!
By the way, the yellow sign is really to keep you aware, as kangaroos jump in front of you crossing the roads at dark and we have seen many dead ones along those long roads...........
