Esperant......

.... esperar sin saber el qué ni el cuándo! es de las peores cosas!! y es que hoy jueves a estas horas - hora de ir a dormir ya! - en el centro de Bangkok seguimos secos y haciendo vida totalmente normal..... a parte de racionarnos el agua........ es decir, beber pero moderadamente, para que el agua dure lo máximo posible ;)
Por otro lado, el Gobierno ha decretado hoy, mañana y lunes, Fiesta Nacional! para que todo el que quiera pueda sin problemas dejar la ciudad..... y mucha gente ha salido de Bangkok "por si acaso"!! y las carreteras que conducen al sur están inundadas..... de coches!! Ayer a la 1 de la madrugada las caravanas en dirección a Pattaya (sudeste) y Hua Hin (sudoeste) eran kilométricas...... y mientras, por el centro de Bangkok, circulamos con una fluidez increible y totalmente inusual :)
Y todos van hacia el sur, pues la mayoría de carreteras del norte están como la de la foto :(


Though I have not translated the previous entry, surely the images have spoken for themselves :( ..... they are from the North of Bangkok, completely flooded! with still water which may take about 6-7 weeks to drain :(( ...... and now Government is confirming that the center of Bangkok will take from 10 to 90 cms of water in the coming weekend, trying to lead most of it towards the sea - but at the moment, we are still safe & dry! though drinking water and some essentials are already out of stock in supermarkets!! ........ this is why many people has fleed to the South, as roads in the North are not passable!! see picture!! Ohh! and today, tomorrow and Monday have been declared National Holidays to let people prepare to either fleed or stay at home!
